Law is the norm that calls upon society to achieve certain ideals and circumstances, but without ignoring the world of reality and hence the law is classified into cultural norms. The diversity of Indonesian society, which consists of various tribes, languages, customs, and religions is the potential of the Indonesian nation, which is the diversity of the law. Islam entered Indonesia in the first century Hijriyah or VII century AD brought by Arab traders. It is no exaggeration if this era is an era where Islamic law for the first time into the territory of Indonesia. The development of Islamic law in Indonesia can be divided into several periods. First, the period before Dutch colonial rule. Second, the period of Dutch rule invaded Indonesia. Third, the Japanese occupation period. Fourth, the time of independent Indonesia: (1945-1974). Fifth, the period after 1974 until now.
